The company formed in 2012 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, with the purpose of taking its lifesaving, emergency collaboration technology and its rf based wireless ip technology to the global marketplace. As an outgrowth of InterLink USA, Global InterLink sought out the network of partners the company had developed during the 30-year history of DRA/InterLink USA. The principals of Global InterLink reached out to a former partner in the Middle East, who became a cofounder of the new corporation. Global InterLink then began forming partnerships/distributorships with former partners from the Mission Critical Computing marketplace. Distributorships were thereby quickly established in Latin America, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Similar partnerships in Asia and Australia have since been added. Global InterLink Corporation has already won customers in Canada, Argentina, the UK, and the Middle East.
Jeff Dobson, CEO
Jeff Dobson has served as CEO of the InterLink companies since 1982. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, and travels extensively worldwide.
Prior to InterLink Jeff was Manager of Geographic Management Information Systems for TRW’s Missiles and Space Division, working on the deployment of the MX Missile Systems in the Southwestern US. Prior to that he served on the faculties of the Ohio State University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Alaska. Jeff served several terms as an alderman in the town of Farragut, Tennessee. He holds a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Georgia. He has served on the boards and as CEO/COO of a number of corporations.
He has conducted fieldwork in the Arctic regions of Europe and North America as well as deserts in the southwestern U.S. His business travels often take him to the Middle East. He served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
Jon Efteland, EVP Ops
Jon N. Efteland, PhD is Executive Vice President of the Interlink Companies. He was co-founder of DRA (now Interlink, USA) in 1982 and served as its Vice President until 1987. While continuing to serve on the DRA Board of Directors, Jon served as Vice President for several technology-based start-up companies from 1987 through 1998.
He returned to the Interlink Companies in 1998 and is responsible for corporate operations and technical management. Jon has extensive experience in technical project management, corporate management and business planning. He received his Ph.D. in geography from the University of Georgia. Dr. Efteland has held academic positions at the University of Georgia, the University of Northern Iowa, and Pellissippi State Community College.
Kent Murrell, Manager
Kent B. Murrell has over 20 years experience as Interlink’s Manager for production and purchasing Operations. He has in-depth experience in the design, development, and calibration of testing equipment and holds a degree in Electronic Technology. Kent has extensive experience in product design, prototyping, production procedures and presales product testing. Mr. Murrell oversees Support Services for Interlink’s products and solutions.
